Frank Lacey represents NRG Energy in his role as Chair of the Advanced Energy Management Alliance. He is an experienced energy industry leader and executive, working directly for advanced energy firms or consultancies for over 20 years. He has been engaged in transforming the electricity industry throughout his career. His primary focus has been aligning business strategy with regulatory outcomes.
Frank has served on the executive teams of Comverge, a residential demand response provider, and CPower, a C&I demand response company that spun out of Comverge. Prior to his work in the demand response industry, Frank spent 10 years in the retail electricity business beginning in the early days of retail choice with Strategic Energy and then with Direct Energy, which purchased Strategic Energy in 2008. He also has several years of consulting experience with Arthur Andersen and Putnam, Hayes & Bartlett. He has been deeply engaged in industry restructuring throughout his career, working on generation restructuring, environmental asset valuation (SO2 and NOx credits) transmission restructuring, retail restructuring and demand response integration.
Frank received his MBA with concentrations in finance and environmental management from the Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon University and his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Maryland. He is married, has three children and is active in his local community.
