The California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) filed a settlement that should provide opportunities for demand response in the state of California through recognition of an increased value for demand response that monetizes benefits for consumers. The effort was the result of collaboration between CAISO, Clean Coalition, Environmental Defense Fund, and others. The parties involved have agreed to parameters for a study that will set goals for demand response.
