The Advanced Energy Management Alliance (“AEMA”) fully supports a bill introduced by Congressman Jimmy Panetta (D-CA) that would provide a 30% tax incentive for microgrid development. Local governments and non-profits could take this credit as a direct payment, ensuring that entities with no tax burden are able to deploy crucial clean energy resources that increase resilience while reducing carbon pollution.
